Terms & conditions
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
Confirming Your Booking A booking is only confirmed once you've accepted these terms and completed payment online, or settled a studio invoice at least 5 days before your shoot date. Verbal confirmations are not accepted.
Your studio time starts from the agreed booking time or when you enter the studio — whichever comes first. Setup and pack-down time is included within your booked slot, so please factor this in.
Your Studio, Your Responsibility Please treat the studio as you'd want your own space treated.
Any waste, mess, or materials left behind after your shoot will be removed by Silverspace and charged to you, plus a £50 administration fee.
Damage to the studio, equipment, cove, flooring, or backdrops caused by you or your team will be charged at repair or replacement cost.
Cancellations, Postponements & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. Here's our policy: • Free cancellation, postponement, or reschedule up to 72 hours before your booking • Cancellations or changes within 72 hours: 50% of the studio rate charged • Cancellations on the day of the booking: non-refundable • Any changes after confirmation are at Silverspace's discretion and subject to studio availability
Studio Hours & Overtime
Standard studio hire runs 9am–10pm (13 hours). Overtime is charged at the hourly rate advertised on our rates pages. Overtime and any additional charges must be settled on or before the last day of your hire. An 8am start is available on request at an additional rate. Payments Payment must be completed before a booking confirmation is issued. Equipment hire, consumables, and any additional services requested on the day must be settled before you leave
People & Noise
Silverspace is a shared creative building. Please keep noise at a respectful level throughout your booking, particularly when arriving and departing, and between 10pm and 8am. Please bring only the number of crew, cast, and production staff agreed at booking.
Parking
We have dedicated parking in front of the building (12 spaces) and at the rear (100 spaces). Parking instructions will be included in your booking confirmation. Please validate parking at reception or with Silverspace staff. Silverspace cannot be held responsible for any parking fines incurred.
Filming Outside the Studio
Please do not use the Silver Building's common areas or the public roads and pavements around the building for your shoot. Doing so will incur charges from the building's management.
Lighting & Electrical Equipment
All lighting must be hired from Silverspace Studios unless we're unable to supply or source a specific item — in which case, you may bring alternative lighting with our prior written approval. Any external electrical equipment must be PAT tested. Available power output varies per shoot — please check your requirements with us at booking. Silverspace is not liable for national grid power cuts.
Health, Safety & Insurance
You are responsible for the health and safety of everyone on your shoot, including a preshoot hazard assessment. Emergency procedures are posted at the studio entrance and in the main reception. Silverspace holds £2m public liability insurance. You are responsible for your own insurance covering personal injury to crew and cast, plus third-party liability. Silverspace is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to your equipment or personal belongings on the premises.
Smoking
Silverspace Studios is a strictly non-smoking venue.
CCTV
CCTV recording is active throughout Silverspace Studios for the safety and security of customers, staff, and premises. Footage is stored for up to 28 days. It may be retained longer in the event of a legal dispute or investigation, and provided to authorities where legally required.
Pets & Animals
Animals are welcome with a £60 specialist cleaning fee payable in advance. A further £40 will be charged if the studio is left in an unacceptable condition. Please leave the studio as you found it.
Specialist Requirements
If your shoot involves anything outside the ordinary — pyrotechnics, smoke, water, nudity, live music, stunts, children, or animals — please inform us in advance so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
